Excellent product and service
I bought the purple rain kilt
to hike the Colorado Trail. I love the coverage and the pockets. Sitting is modest and everything fits in the pockets! To be honest, I don’t love the waistband. It feels super thick and gets hot and sweaty. I wish it was an elasticized stretchy material instead of a wrapped elastic and tie.
I’m looking forward to slaying it anyway.
So comfortable and cool. I have a couple hiking kilts from different brands, but Purple Rain's is by far the most comfortable, cool, and practical. Love the snap features for different circumstances!
In the future, would love to see a kilt with a micro perforation for even better airflow in the hot, humid weather of the east coast!
I’m a guy and this was my first kilt/skirt. I absolutely love it!! It fits surprisingly well—I’m a men’s 2x in most clothing and the 2x kilt worked, there’s definitely a lot more range than suggested in the size guide. That said, the 3x would probably be a little better for other 2x men considering this. Excellent all around quality, fit, comfort and even style. Highly recommend it…so comfortable compared to hiking shorts.
This review comes with the caveat that spring is late to arrive here this year, so I haven't actually been able to hike in my skirt. What I can say so far is that it fits me (I'm a size 10 -12 for pants); it is very well sewn; and it is super cute. I can see myself wearing it a lot this summer including for hikes on the North Country Trail and Appalachian Trail.
